My wife’s front passenger side tire has mysteriously deflated on us twice. She said it was looking low so she added air to it and asked me to go check on it.
I did not have a tire pressure gauge that went high enough to measure the pressure in her tire. We’re talking like Fear and Loathing levels of tire pressure.
So I did my best attempt to summon Artie T he Strongest Man in the World to my aid and in the end the pressures were brought down to a reasonable level.

At least she was able to identify an automotive problem and had the gist of what to do to correct it?

I
didn’t not
have a tire pressure gauge that went high enough to measure the pressure in her tire.
My brain hurts. Which way around is this supposed to be.

This is why must gas station air compressors only put out around 45-50 psi.

All the compressed air places at gas stations over here have a gauge. The idea of needing to have one in the glovebox is strange to me. My grandpa always had one in the car. It’s still somewhere in my parent’s basement, looking mint as nobody ever used it.

Yeah I’m impressed she showed the wherewithal to do this.

It would be entirely false to say I kinda maybe didn’t not have a gauge that may or may not have been able to measure it.

Now it hurts more.

Same over here. But one does not always check their tires at a gas station...

I keep one in both cars that are currently capable of leaving the driveway.
